Happy Heart Day

It's baby's first Valentine's Day.  Since today is supposed to be an entire day centered on love, I thought I would write a few things down about what I love about my little nugget.

She really is the sweetest little thing.  I can't imagine a baby being cuter or sweeter.  A couple Saturdays ago I took a class and left her for a big part of the day with daddy.  Between her nap schedule and the timing of the class, I went about 7 hours without seeing my baby.  That is the longest I've been away from her.  When I went into her room after her nap, she squealed as soon as she saw me.  I picked her up and she frantically started patting me.  She patted my arms, my back, and my chest.  Between the pats she gave me hug after hug after hug.  You could say she was pretty excited to see the momma.  That made my day.  It was so sweet.

The other day when I got her out of her crib after a nap, I was talking to her and giving her some squeezes, when she took her binky out of her mouth and gave me a big ol' kiss.  So cute.

Kylar loves growling.  She runs around the house growling all day.  A few Sundays ago at church, she was growling at the little boys behind us.  Then the electrician was doing stuff for us and every time he walked in the house, Kylar would growl at him.  As he worked, she would go up to him, grab on his boots and growl.  Last Sunday the boy passing the sacrament was standing right by her.  She grabbed onto his arm with both of her hands and growled at him. We've started calling her monster baby.  Then I discovered that if we say, "Where's monster baby?"  She will immediately growl back.  We think it's hilarious.  I think my baby must be a genius.

I love Kylar's out-going and curious personality.  She wants to know and see what everyone is doing.  She has to go up to all the women at church and go through their purses.  She will go up to anyone at church and jump right into their lap.  She doesn't have a care in the world, and she is never afraid that her parents are nowhere in sight.

I didn't know babies could love books so much.  She doesn't get bored of them.  She will sit and flip through book after book.  She loves coming and sitting in my lap and having me read to her the same books over and over again.  We really need to get more books.  We go through all of her books multiple times a day and she loves it.

She has brought so much love into our family.  We love her so much and are grateful she is ours.

We are looking directly into the sun and have the squintiest eyes, but seriously, my baby has the cutest smile I have ever seen.  And she is definitely workin' the bump-it :).
